A weekly news and public service program via Facebook Live has become a regular staple for Marivelenos looking for updates and answers to burning issues in the municipality.

The program “Musta na Mariveles, Kwentuhan at Opinyon” ni Kaibigan Tito Catipon at Idol Harry Golocan” streaming every Wednesday 7:30PM to 9PM has gained loyal followers seeking up-to-date and right information concerning Mariveles. “We report Mariveles LGU accomplishments and all relevant happenings in the municipality”, said Catipon. “When there are issues circulating, we answer that equipped with documents. We tackled them fair and square”, he said. “We use our program to combat fake news so that our kababayan in Mariveles will not be misled”, he added.

Mayor AJ Concepcion and Sangguniang Bayan members have been guesting on the program to give updates to the people of Mariveles or answer issues when needed. Resource persons are invited as guests to the program.

Catipon said adding a variant to the program, they put Mariveles’ history trivia portion with prizes. He added a talent segment, particularly singing, which will soon be part of the online program.

Golocan earlier said, “Ang serbisyo publiko hindi nawawala sa amin yan ni Municipal Administrator Tito Catipon. Sa pamamagitan ng programa, napaglilingkuran pa rin natin ang ating mga kababayan sa Mariveles”. Catipon and Golocan were both three-term municipal councilors who finished their terms in 2022.
